You know, I'd be more accepting of these scores if there weren't examples of retail games getting away with similar things and still managing a 6/10.

I've been playing Bully. Even with the patch, in the course of 3 hours I've gotten 5 freezes, at least 10 messages telling me to reinsert the disc, increased loading times and I'd guess around 40 examples of audio cutting out entirely (sometimes coming back, sometimes requiring me to restart the system).

The issues were referenced in the reviews, but that was it. The lowest review for the game stands at a 67/100 on Metacritic, last I saw. As far as I'm concerned it's unplayable in single and multiplayer modes because of this. Over a third of the time I've played it has just been redoing things I lost when it froze because save points are in very specific spots.

Yet Mr. Driller is $10, completely playable in single player mode (which despite being pretty basic is certainly fun, to me at least) and gets 2/10. The multiplayer is terrible, true, but why this breaks this game and more problems don't break Bully is not something I understand.

Granted Bully is a bigger, more impressive title... but I definitely feel it's another example of cheap downloadable titles being held at a different standard.

I haven't played Bully, so I don't know what to say about that. However, I don't think Mr. Driller deserves 2/10. I would have gave it around 7/10. Sure the online sucks, but the single player is what make this game great IMO.
