New Media: Shotest Shogi, Wits & Wagers, TiQal and Bullwinkle!

Along with the news about the 400 Point DOOM and Assault Heroes (which are up right now! Go check them out!) They also released new images of 4 upcoming games - some which had not actually been announced yet (TiQal) and others that have had very minimal limelight (Wits & Wagers, Shotest Shogi). There are a huge amount of images - 20-80 images each! So check them out.

“Wits & Wagers” (Hidden Path Entertainment LLC). Party and trivia fun! Even if trivia isn’t your thing, the first trivia and party game to hit Xbox LIVE Arcade is one in which players can win by making educated guesses, playing the odds or just knowing the interests of other players, whether they are local or online. Break out the Big Button Pad controllers or play couch vs. couch on Xbox LIVE for a trivia party extravaganza.

Some people in the Xbox world don't realize that Wits & Wagers has been available nationwide at Target as a board game since last August. The board game has won more awards than any other party game in history, which is why it is now making its way to the Xbox (and beyond - a possible TV game show is in the works).

You can learn more on our website at www.NorthStarGames.com or on Hidden Path Entertainment's website (the are the Xbox developers).

Cheers,

Hey Dominic! Nice to see a big wig is watching my website :)

Wits & Wagers is a good addition to the XBLA, and using the Scene It BB Controller is always a plus too.

My main consern was that - like a whole load of XBLA games - it wasn't announced until the game was nearly out. It was rated before being announced and the first acknowledgement that it was real was someone saying it was being demoed at a board game convention of some sort! I much prefer Capcoms style with Bionic Commando and Commando 3 :)

If it's possible to answer here (if you do end up reading this!), or at all - was there additional costs in 'allowing' the game to use the Big Button controller? I ask because of the kerfuffle with the several different Guitars and them being used between Rock Back and Guitar Hero - I was wondering if there were any problems with this issue?

(Actually Guitar and Drum support would actaully be neat if to purely add an extra control scheme for more controllers - since so many people seem to have bought Rock Band and Guitar Hero anyhow. It'd almost fit with the bizarre graphic style of the game too)
